It is the policy of the Anderson Police Department to ensure that integrity is maintained through an internal system. Complaints will be investigated in an impartial manner. If the matter is determined to be criminal in nature, it will be reported to the appropriate agency. If the complaint is to be handled internally by the Internal Affairs Division you will be notified by mail of the final disposition of the matter. If the case is sustained, you will not be notified of the disciplinary action(s) taken against the employee. This action is a personnel matter, not public information.
If you feel that your rights have been violated and you would like to file a complaint against an employee of the Anderson Police Department, please contact the Internal Affairs Division. You can be assured that the Anderson Police Department will not tolerate any misconduct on the part of an Anderson Police Department employee. Any fictitious or misleading complaints against an employee may be subject to Criminal and/or Civil prosecution under section 16-9-30 of the South Carolina Code of Laws.

Inspector Kenneth R. Ebernickle was transferred to the Internal Affairs Division on December 10, 2007 by Chief Martin Brown. Inspector Ebernickle has been with the Anderson Police Department since April 1989. After serving 6 years in the Patrol Division and 6 years in the Traffic Division he was promoted to Detective Sergeant in 2000 were he specialized in White Collar crime. Inspector Ebernickle was born and raised in Anderson, SC and is married to Katrina Ebernickle. They have two wonderful children, a son and a daughter.
