Lt. Ken Ebernickle

After serving five years in the U S Army, Lieutenant Ken Ebernickle started his career with the City of Anderson Police Department in April 1989. He graduated from the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy in 1990. He served in the Patrol Division until 1995, transferred to the Traffic Division where his duties were traffic enforcement and accident investigations. While serving in the traffic Division he was promoted to the rank of Corporal.

In July 2000, he was promoted to Sergeant in the Criminal Investigations Division, and was assigned to property crimes for about 1.5 years and then was transferred into white collar (Economics crimes). He received training in basic detectives, elder abuse, child abuse, white collar crime and was instrumental in obtaining the membership for City Police Department with the National White Collar Crime Center (NW3C).

In November 2007, he was transferred to the position of the Internal Affairs Officer for the City of Anderson Police Department. While serving as the Internal Affairs Officer, he received training from the Public Agency Training Council for Internal Affairs matters, Managing Police Discipline and Employee Sexual Misconduct. His duties consisted of investigating complaints against Anderson Police officers Detention Officers and Police Department civilian employees.

October 2008, Sgt Ebernickle was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and is now currently serving in the Administrations Division. His duties consist of supervising nine employees in the Administrations Division, Records Division and Internal Affairs.
